Stable View Eventing Academy: Everything You Need to Know
As the time approaches for our first Eventing Academy weekend, we wanted to let you know more of the details.
Anyone is welcome to come to the Open Schooling Day! You do not have to be entered in the Schooling Horse Trial the following day.
If you would like to enter the Horse Trial, please enter through EventEntries.com. The Show Office will be located in its normal position, just in front of the Covered Arena. Parking will be in our normal Day Trailer Parking location at Gate 2.
We have invested in the creation of software that can be run from your Android compatible cell phone or one of our tablets at the show office to get you registered for the Open Schooling Day!
The software will take your basic information (name, address, emergency contact, horse name, etc) what you want to do for the schooling day and take your payment.
You will then proceed to the Show Office Windows to show a copy of the horses’ valid Coggins (within 12 months), sign the Stable View Release if you have not done so for 2018, and receive your bridle number.
The bridle number will be color coded based on what you have signed up to do.
We will have both Show Office windows open to help get you quickly registered.
We will also have some personnel available to help you with our new software.
Our fallback position will be paper forms if necessary.
Open Schooling Day
The Show Office will open at 8:00 am to take registrations.
Cost for schooling in Dressage Arenas is $25 unless purchasing the entire schooling package.
Arenas will be open for schooling from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday.
We ask participants to spend no more than 15 minutes in the dressage arena if others are waiting to use the arenas.
We will have a Steward monitoring the Arenas by checking bridle numbers and keeping tabs on the amount of time a participant has been in an arena.
Cost for unlimited Stadium rounds is $40 unless purchasing the entire schooling package.
The Outdoor Stadium Arena will be used for the Stadium rounds and the Covered Arena will be used for warm-up, just like in our Recognized Events.
The Schedule for the Outdoor Stadium is as follows;
9:00 am to 10:15 am Sprouts – 18” and X-rails
10:15 am to 11:30 am Tadpole – 2’ 3”
11:30 pm to 1:00 pm Beginner Novice – 2’ 7”
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Novice Height – 2’ 11”
2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Training Height – 3’ 3”
We will have a ring steward monitoring participants.
Please give your bridle number to the Ring Steward to create an order of go for the Arena.
You are only allowed 1 round at a time, then must get back in line for your next round.
If you have a refusal at one or 2 fences you will be allowed to go over those fences while you are still in the arena for your round. If you wish to repeat more fences, you will need to come out of the Arena and get back in line.
Please be courteous to your fellow participants.
Cost for XC schooling in $70 unless you have purchased the entire schooling package.
XC Schooling will begin at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm.
There will be a Steward monitoring all participants for correct bridle number, accompanying ground person, safety vest and medical arm band. You will not be allowed on the XC schooling course without all of these items!
All courses that are in the Schooling HT the next day will be flagged just like they will be in the actual Schooling HT. Feel free to practice your XC course for the next day!
There will also be many more fences out on the XC field to allow more schooling options.
The maximum height of the XC fences available will be 3’3” as we are only running through Training Level for our Schooling HT.
The minimum heights of the XC fences will be 18”.
To be fair to all of our participants, if you are struggling at a fence or obstacle for an extended period of time, you may be asked to step aside or move on to a different part of the XC field by a SV Steward.
Please be courteous to your fellow participants.
